Tuesday 6th October - Queuing for audio sets.
Once we had shown our tickets on the tablet we then had to queue up for the audio headsets and they were only allowing 1 person for each party to join the queue for the headsets and even so the queue was very long and took half an hour for us to get ours.
Jannie waited not too far away thinking that I was going to need help with her tablet but all was fine.
We put on our headsets, pressed 1 and started for the tour.
This building was started in 1882 or the concept was as Francesc del Villar was commissioned to construct a neo-Gothic church and in 1883 Antoni Gaudi took over as the chief architect but he had plans for a much more ambitious church.
Gaudi died in 1926 and the project has had numerous architects since then.
Work is still going on and the finish date is to be between 2020 and 2040. Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the church in 2010 and so now it is a Basilica.
