We left Carnarvon this morning and headed for Monkey Mia which is just under 400km south. I'm so amazed at how desolate Western Australia is between places. We only came across two roadhouses and no towns travelling from Carnarvon to Denham, that is about 30km from Monkey Mia! The 'coast' road is mostly nowhere near the coast! In fact Monkey Mia is 155km from the main coastal road and its one way in and one way out!
I think there is a storm developing, it's very windy here! We have spoken to some campers that have been here for a few days and apparently the wind has only come up today. Tomorrow we are getting up early and hopefully get to feed the dolphins and then have a look around. Its a beautiful spot here, there are Emus here in the park, hopefully the wind will settle down and make it a little more comfortable.
