This morning we travelled back to Margaret River. After a visit to the Visitor Centre we had a very good Cappuccino at a restaurant called The Dome. The service was excellent, coffee was great and the atmosphere made you want to stay. It was a really nice place to relax and chat.
After a tour around the township we drove north on Caves Road to The Sunflower Farm. This is basically a giant animal petting farm. They have about 300 animals ranging from baby Guinea Pigs and Rabbits to a massive Draught Horse, an Osterich and nearly every Animal and bird in between! We spent a couple of hours there on an absolutely beautiful day! Lochie got wrestled (rammed) by a small goat. We told him that the goat just wanted to wrestle him for fun, he was ok with that! Kellie got attacked by a raging rabid rabbit, ok maybe not that bad, but she wasn't holding it properly and it decided to get loose and scratched her arm quite badly!
On our way back to Busselton took a detour through Dunsborough and out to the coast to the Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Unfortunately it costs to go and look at the lighthouse and Lochie had fallen asleep so we took some photos and drove back to the caravan. The towns along the southwest coast below Perth are really beautiful, it's proving to be the best of WA so far!
