Today we had a relaxing start to the day with coffee and cake at the local bakery. Exmouth is a beautiful little town with a very laid back lifestyle, and the weather/temperature here at the moment is perfect. We have been told that the temperature does hit 50 degrees in January, wow thats hot! After coffee we made our way about 40km out of town to travel along the top ridge of the Cape Range National Park. Consisting of a mainly corrugated dirt road to the top, it was a very picturesque drive with spectacular look-outs along the way! After this we drove back out onto the main road and towards Exmouth again before turning left onto another dirt road that took us along the base of the Cape Range NP looking up at the beautiful escarpment. Lochie always falls asleep when we are either four wheel driving or driving on corrugated roads and today was no different. While he was asleep we drove up the beach and then back to the caravan park to put our sleeping boy to bed. All in all a very relaxing day. Kellie bought some fresh local prawns so it'll be a beer and prawn night tonight, yum!
This evening we watched the beautiful sunset at the historic Vlamingh Head Lighthouse north of Exmouth. It's amazing how much cooler it is here! On our way back to Exmouth we clocked over 15,000km since leaving Brisbane!

Ness, Steve & Gracie Hi Tim, Kellie and Lochie, Sounds like you are still having fun! We loved Cape Range and stayed at Kurrajong campsite if you are going out that way. We are in Esperance and moving onto Kalgoorlie tomorrow - wish we were still at Cape Range! Take care Ness, Steve and Gracie
