Very hot again today but the rain didn't happen after all. We tootled off to Perth by bus and train, had a drink and meandered a bit. Sorry to be a pain but it has been 38C here today! We took the train to Fremantle and spent some time there but it was really too hot to be wandering around. So in order to get the most out of our day ticket we got the train back to Perth and then the train from Perth to Murdoch where we caught the bus back to Kardinya where we are staying. Today is Australia Day and it is a holiday. Mick and I walked (funny how we didn't see anybody else walking!!) to the shop to buy some sun screen and then the pool was calling us again! This afternoon we went for a BBQ with Monica and Claude's family. Due to the hot weather we stayed until 6:00 until the weather was cooler and then went to the park for games and food. A beautiful blue sky. Not much to report today. We went to watch Adam play cricket in the local park. I walked the perimeter of the park (had to have some exercise!) and saw a glorious bourgunvillea (not sure about spelling), lots of white cockatoos in the trees and a couple of rosellas which emerged from a hole in a tree. We had another swim in the pool later this afternoon and then just relaxed with the family helped along by a little wine!

Friday morning was very cold and frosty as we left for Gatwick airport. We flew Emirates and they were very good. For once the food was tasty, hot and varied! The photo was taken flying over Turkey.
