We headed off towards Hall Creek and noticed that the termite mounds were different than the NT they seemed to be fatter and rounder. There were wild horses wandering everywhere and we were lucky enough to see a mare and foal. Cattle still roamed everywhere and there was hardly any food for them. Rain is needed, everything is just waiting for the first rains to come.
We had to cross a lot of one lane bridges on our way to Halls Creek and Fitzroy Crossing the longest of which was right outside Fitzroy River Lodge at Fitzroy Crossing, the park we stayed at, this was a really nice park, lovely and green which is very unusual in these areas . We were lucky enough not to come across any road trains on these bridges as they do not like having to slow down for anybody.
