Derby wasn't a very big town, it was like most mining towns, red dust everywhere. We found a lovely little coffee shop it looked like it belonged in the city, very modern. Derby is known for its extremely high tides which go up to about 11 metres. At the caravan park we recognised a van which we had seen about 7 wks ago when we were at Banka Banka, unfortunately the owner had gone to Broome for a few days so we didn't catch up with him.
