Is this photo the right way round.? It's me and a crumbly ruin again. We are in Viana, one of the prettiest towns we have stayed in. And we've been for a bit of a wash and brush up tonight so not feeling like true pilgrims as the hotel is nice and is going to do some laundry. We've done a week of walking and it's getting easier most of the time. You never know who you are going to meet and why they are doing the Camino. A young American guy spent so much time at one of the many pilgrim graves along the way that it made you think he must have had a recent loss but somehow seeing other deaths was helping. Who knows? An amazing Dutch couple have walked all the way from their home in Holland , defying their children's view that they wouldn't have anything to talk about for four months together all the time. And so many young single people who you might think would prefer festival life, but they are having a good time too. A few casualties on the way and some people are having to rest up. Anyway I'm going to put some wildflower pics up on facebook and there will be a prize of a Camino fridge magnet for anyone who can name 5 of them except Charlie Jarvis if he is reading. They were all shot in about a 20 minute section of today's walk. And we now have the holy Saint Roger of Compeed who is giving away our store of foot plasters as he is convinced we are not going to need them.
