I think this is sideways so hope those who are getting a crick in their necks are ok. We are in a smallish town called Navarette and this is their local church.and this is just the altarpiece as there are other chapels off to the sides and not even any pretend miracles occurred here either. Today has been quite an easy day walking. We got to Logronu at about midday and it started to rain for the first time since we arrived. I knew this was a sign from god that we should visit the world's longest stretch of wine bars as Logronu is the centre of Rioja. But roger said we should have an orange juice and carry on in the rain. I looked at him twice but that's what we did. I said nothing as we walked through three hours of rain wearing my horrible waterproof trousers. The number of pilgrims did seem to diminish a lot on the walk and I think they were all on the bus, but roger says no buses or taxis. So we did finally have some Rioja tonight and a wonderful pilgrim meal for 10 euros with wine.we sat on a table with Italians, Irish and Americans. There is a real fellowship with a tacit feeling of understanding of when people want to talk about their reasons for doing the Camino... Or not. Roger introduces himself as my plaything which raises some eyebrows as I'm not sure the English understand, let alone the rest of the world.
So today's disco tracks are Baby Love by Diana Ross and the Supremes and Come as You Are by Beverley Knight and I have both on cd Martin so don't go buying them.
