This photo was taken at seven this evening and look at the colour of the sky. So the heat wave continues but not quite as hot as before. We walked down the mountains into Gallicia proper today and it feels very rural with cows in small fields, the smell of silage and hay,and random chickens everywhere. We stopped for lunch in a lovely bar for gazpacho and our first, and maybe last, taste of puplo which is a famous dish of octopus cooked with a spicy paprika. Not to my taste . Just caught up with the England v Italy result as we missed the match. Loved the Hodgson quote that we did everything in the second half but score a goal. What have we gone to Brazil to do if not score a goal or two? Still we whole to see the rest of the matches. We are staying in a very old albergue tonight with think stone walls and proper sheets again. Eating open air with a huge mix of nationalities around us. It does look like lots of new pilgrims are joining the Camino now for the last 125 kms into Santiago and a few by the roadside tending to their blisters. We can spot the new pilgrims because they don't have the tan just on the back of their legs like the rest of us who have been on the road for a month. We will be in Santiago is less than a week ,but then on to Finisterre with a group of old friends and loved ones. Janet, there still time to join us .
