Camino 3
Noticeably taking longer to get daylight these mornings. Headed off at 8 am and as I suspected there were a good number of new arrivals on the trail. A stiff climb out of Sarria but after that not too arduous but beautiful scenery. Galicia is very lush and picturesque, the majority that I am seeing is farm land. I pushed on into Portomarin which is a nice little town which was literally raised when then decided to dam down stream and therefore lose some of the existing properties. The old bridge is still in existence but the new one is massive in comparison. Many albergues in town catering for the increased influx of pilgrims but unfortunately with that comes a lower quality eating establishment. I have decided to have dinner in the hotel tonight after looking round at the options in town.
