The final days walk. A few small hills but mainly downhill. Started to get warm as the day progressed and there was very little shade so it became a tough finale. Finally arrived at Puente la Reine and managed to pick up my bag. Arranged a taxi to Pamplona which is only 20 minutes away. Bike arrived this morning and all prepped, with a lot of help from a bike enthusiast hotel employee. Took a 5 km walk out to check out the bike route I will be taking and it looks ok. Had a stroll around after that and some ponchos and vino Tinto before a siesta. A bite to eat this evening before a big sleep ahead of my first cycling day! A bit nervous!

Walked hard to get to Pamplona before the storm arrived - it never did! Checked in to the beautiful hotel and had a soak in the bath before taking a walk around this old town. Think I'll give running with the Bulls a miss! Had a couple of reds and a couple of pinchos. So cheap, even with the exchange rate.
