That turned out to be a long day. Mainly because some roads either didn't exist or ended up as a goat track. Therefore I was forced to go on the Camino walking track at times which were not conducive to bike riding. Even getting close to Santo Domingo the road just ended and I literally had to go through a furrowed field! Limited food and water stations on the way. I drank all my water and got by eating/drinking 2 bunches of grapes off a nearby vine? I am sure they wouldn't miss them! Checked in to the hotel which is stunning? An old monastery which has been well preserved but all mod cons. Drank 2 litres of water when I arrived and had a soak in the bath before going for a couple of well earned beers and tapas. Just a random thought. I don't get the big issue with "helmet hair". I have no problem!

John Edwards Don't know if they've got sky sports in the monastery, but United won 3-2. I said they've been up and down this season, and that's just how they were in the space of 90 minutes. Started badly and went behind, equalised with a great finish from Martial, who then made it 2-1 from a poor back pass early in the second half. Great third goal by Mata after a move containing, would you believe, 44 consecutive passes! Should have been home and dry, but allowed Pelle an unchallenged header with about 5 minutes left and very nearly threw it away. Good 3 points, though, and Martial looks a bit special.
Chris Hadley I didn't see the game but caught up with it on line. Good result and nice to see the young fellow amongst the goals. I saw a stat the the show scored as many goals in 75 minutes as Rooney has in 7 months! Looking promising for the season although it does seem an unpredictable league at the moment. Bye for now.
