Camino 3
Ended up being only 15 km. However.......poured down. Blew a gale and slippery slope down to Triacastela. They said that if I encountered rain it would be either over the Pyrenees or in Galicia. I got them both. I had dinner with 4 Mexicsns last night who were only just starting their Camino today. Also 3 Americans who had walked from St Jean. I started to walk today with these 3 but soon left them behind. I figured I would soldier on and get through the bad weather as soon as I could. No views or pics along the way. The descent was better than anticipated apart from the carpet of chestnuts and walnuts along with the rain, cow pats and then being bailed up by a cow on the path at one stage. Anyway nice little place. Got my laundry done too whilst I had some spare time. Spent a very pleasant afternoon in a little bar watching Spanish football on television, which as I have just seen the score from the Emirates is a good way to spent the day. I then had some very nice soup and grilled pork ( I thought I had ordered salmon) followed by rice pudding, of course. And the best coffee since Burgos.

Pat Newlove Well at least you are in Spain not France. South of France have seen flash floods and deaths. Makes your bit of drizzle look nothing!!!!!!!!!
Chris Hadley That was no drizzle! And........ Nearly being gored by all those dairy cows!!!!
