Kloster is on the island of Hiddensee still in the Rugan chain. There are no cars, just one diesel bus, tractors and horse powered buses. The wind is going to be high for a few days and due to the football schedules we are staying for 3 days. 23 NM from Stralsund up the narrow channels, we managed to get some good sailing in on route. Wiek is a bit off the beaten track being up high and not on the direct way to anywhere, it’s a pleasant town with a friendly harbour master

New month, now four on board 24 NM sail to lauterbach on Rugan. We sailed half the journey, wind n the nose for the rest but sailing in bright sunshine. Day 2 we spent on the fantastic Rasender Roland steam railway, finishing off we a barbecue and live music in a restaurant. We caught the evening game with a great second half as Belgium came back from 2 down to win 3/2 in injury time.

We have come up to Stralsund as it has good rail connections for the arrival of friends John and Marieanne, so a couple of days cleaning and washing clothes will also be needed. We are also able to watch the next England match, unfortunately a loss.
