We got another nice early start thanks to our 3 little alarm clocks. We definitely have this packing up thing sussed now.
No pool for a dip here after packing up so it was quick showers for a cool down.
We pulled into Fitzroy crossing to fuel up. I think the servo is a popular hang out for the aboriginals here. They are a lot darker skinned up here and I must say they all had nice clean bright clothes.
It was a quick drive through then we stopped about an hour north of Fitzroy at Ngunbam cliff for lunch. Nice views and good to see WA spend the money on there stop areas. Heaps of shade shelters, tables, toilets and even little BBQ plates.
Next stop was Halls Creek for some ice and then we drove out of town to Caroline Pool which was our free camp spot for the night.
Shaun drove the camper down onto the dry river bed but it was fairly soft and he got a bit bogged. Ok he got bogged good. Out come the 4 Max Trax which definitely helped but wasn't quiet enough. Garry got to use his winch on the car which Gaz and Shaun were both stoked about :)
We did a quick set up kids got an easy meal of spaghetti and toast and we had a cold quiche. Enjoyed a few malibu's and the guys were on the CC's.
