We set the alarms for a change and started packing up at 5am. We did well and were on the road by 6.30 which was great.
Called into Port Hedland briefly for a few supplies and fill up with fuel.
We decided on 80 mile beach for lunch as it was only 9km off the highway. So glad we did. We drove over the dirt hills to the most beautiful turquoise water. It was absolutely stunning.
The beach went forever. The guys drove the vans down onto the beach and I was too busy watching Shaun drive in that I didn't see Gaz had bogged our car and camper. Spewing I forgot to take a pic on my phone of him bogged.
Kylie and I took the kids down to the water. They were loving it. Zane wanted down so bad that I ended up letting him go and crawl in the water and sand too. The guys didnt take long to get us unbogged :) Kylie whipped up some awesome wraps for lunch as we enjoyed the scenery.
Then we stripped Zane off and took him for another dip in the ocean to get all the sand off. 10 mins after lunch and on the road again our three were sound asleep. Fueled up at sand fire roadhouse and thankfully the kids stayed asleep.
Got into Barn Hill station a little after 5.30 and had just missed the sunset. We have set up camp on top of these beautiful orange cliffs, overlooking the ocean.
I'm sitting inside the camper now and I can hear the waves crashing on the beach.......ah love it! Looking forward to our view in the morning.
