We decided to have a little drive around Lake Argyle before heading into Kununurra. We drove over the dam wall and down to the Ord River. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Every angle you turned was photo worthy. Had a good look around and 100 photos later we headed off for Kununurra.
First stop was the post office to get the Aussie Animals albums which the kids have been counting down until they got here. A super huge big thanks to big nan for posting!!!!!! You have made 4 kids very very happy :)
Next stop was the Dr's for Zane but thankfully only viral so all good no antibiotic needed.
Then we did our shopping supply. Only a small one this time as we still have a s*** load of food and we are now into our last 2 weeks of our trip. Plus we have to cross the quarantine border soon.
We had a nice counter lunch at Gullivers Tavern where the lovely publican gave free apple juices to the kids, lollies after their meal and free hats to Kylie and I.
Then it was off to stock up on grog. Thats when we found out about the liquor restrictions. Gaz could only buy 2 cartons of beer so I had to go in and buy the Malibu. I wanted 2 bottles but could only get 1. So then it was off to the next shop to get 6 bottles of wine and then I sent Gaz in to get me another bottle of Malibu. This is why the pub also didn't open until 12.
Then we had to take off to catch up with a family friend Ben Fitzgerald who I reckon I probably haven't seen in a good 17 years. Was great to catch up and have a yarn!! Ben had to catch the courtesy bus to the airport so we took off to finish our grog stock up.
We finally got our supplies and headed off. Back to the park for a swim. Got back to camp and it had rained so everything was wet. We had most of our towels out so looks like a load of washing coming up. Another nice early night where Gaz and I tried to watch Arrow but were rather tired and kept falling asleep.
