The guys took the kids fishing after they'd finished their journal writing. Sean caught a big catfish so he was happy with that. Was nice to kick back with the bubs for a bit.
Zane is really starting to put his steps together now. 21 steps the most of counted so far. Won't be long and he is going to be walking all the time.
In the arvo we went on the Kimberley Durack an awesome boat that took us out for a 4 hour cruise on Lake Argyle.
It is just OMG amazing how massive this man made dam is. 20 times the size of the Sydney Harbour to give you a comparison. 35,000 fresh water crocs in there they reckon, we were lucky to see about 5 up close. We also got to see Rock Wallabys, Kangaroos, eagles and pelicans. About an hour in to the cruise we stopped to jump off the back of the boat for a swim. Sean had his swim vest on and was super keen wanted to be the first off but he had to wait til Gaz was in the water. He also wanted to jump off the roof of the boat like some big kids did. Thankfully Zane was asleep in the pram so we didn't need to worry about him. Ben wasn't keen at all to go as he was worried there was no where he could touch the bottom. In the end he decided to come in with a noodle so that he could float. It was a beautiful swim in fresh water that you could drink.
Back on board and then we took off for our next spot, the boat picked up some good pace and poor Caleb's thong went flying off the back of the boat.
Then the captain gave each kid a turn at driving the boat and to wear the captain's hat. They thought this was fantastic!!
Coming into sunset time they parked up in a bay area where there wasn't as much wind. Everyone jumped in for another swim off the back of the boat with noodles except this time they served you beers and wine whilst relaxing in the water. It was a beautiful spot but once again the sun went behind cloud so we were robbed of a good sunset but the rest was great. I stayed on the boat with Zane and got into the wines and nibbles, even scored Kylie's wines yay! Whilst Gaz frolicked in the water on his noodles with beer in hand and me serving him a few nibbles, god he's got the life :)
After that it was full steam ahead back to shore as they had run a bit over time. We decided on an easy feed at the pub and was great to watch a bit of TV. Once again the drinks slowed up after dinner and it was another early one.
