Well I win the mother of the year award for the other night. After a big day of washing, school work, taking the kids to the beach and making Janine's yummy cheese log. It was time to head over to Claire and Lynchy's for some drinks and nibbles. Normally Zane gets his veggies around 5 then his bath, but I decided to bath Zane on the way over. When I got there the girls took Zane for a cuddle and play.
He started getting grizzly about 6.30 so I gave him his night bottle and he could go to sleep in his pram. Wasn't until about 7 I went inside to put the dip in the fridge that I spotted his veggies. Bad mother, I had forgotten to give him his dinner. Lucky he has got a good weight buffer and it didn't seem to bother him missing one meal :)
Claire made a stuffing for a whole fish her and Lynchy were cooking up for everyone. The fish was beautiful and the stuffing rocked too. Then we had a BBQ cook up with the Lynch's and the Brady's on their verandah.
Thursday night we went to Finns cafe for tea with everyone. The guys had skinned the Red Emperor fish wings and taken to Stocky's mate who is the cook there. They deep fried them in a yummy batter. I wasn't sure what they would be like but they were delicious. Bit like KFC coating.
Was a great feed and was good to get everyone together. Turned out it was Stocky's mates 50th so the kids were super excited when they bought out an ice cream cake for him.
