We left Broome to head up to Middle Lagoon which is about 2/3 rds of the way up on the Cape Leveque road. On the way up we decided to go and check out Willie Creek pearl farm. The water there was so beautiful and green. Such a shame there was a crocodile swimming around would have loved to have a swim.
We had a look at the pearl shop and then the guys had a cuppa out back at the cafe. Kylie and I took the kids down to the boat jetty to have a look and that's where a lady pointed out the croc out in the middle. Whilst we were there I had to try and covertly order some cake as silly me had forgotten to get it in Broome. We went and made some wraps out the front and the kids sat at the table watching the helicopter taking off every 10 -15 mins doing all the scenic flights for people.
After lunch we took roughly 4 hours to travel 160 km's. We checked in at Middle lagoon and we got cliff top spots. When we got to our spots no one else was camping on the cliff tops. It was beautiful over looking the water but it was rather windy, so we opted to set up a lite bit back from the cliff top.
Took us a bit to get set up so the kids got their lasagne nuked in the microwave so we could get them to bed nice and early. After they had eaten we bought out Kylie's cake with sparklers for candles. We got to enjoy a couple of Malibu's to celebrate, was a shame it was a travel day for her bday. I took Ben and Sean down to the beach for a swim and a water splash fight which of course I won :)
Then the guys took the kids fishing which was great I managed to read all of probably 5 pages of my book and I was asleep. After lunch and a rest the guys took off with the kids again to get some firewood. This was Ben's favorite part of the day. They got to sit on the timber logs in the back of Shaun's car on the way back.
Kylie cooked up a big feed of veggies and we had spuds and corn done in the fire with snags.
