We set of for a day trip up to the top of Cape Leveque. We called into Cygnet Bay Pearl farm to have a look and we were hoping to do a boat tour. They were only doing the land tours so we didn't bother with it as we were almost over looking at pearls. One of the lovely ladies that worked there did give us a private little tour out to the lookout point overlooking the bay. Just stunning gorgeous crystal clear water. They said they do go swimming just make sure they're in pairs due to crocodiles.
We left there and went for a drive to One armed point. We went to the boat ramp and we were almost going to set up there for lunch and go for a swim as it was once again just breathtakingly beautiful! Due to no shade what so ever and it being bloody hot we got back in the car and headed for the Kooljaman resort cafe for lunch. Rather annoyed it wasn't licensed as have been getting accustomed to our beer / wine lunches.
As we sat out on the deck overlooking the cliffs they wouldn't serve us as it was too far. Wasn't the best meal but thankfully an awesome backdrop. Garry and the boys gave me some pearl earrings and a gorgeous pearl pendant necklace which were for my birthday and I'm claiming the pearl necklace as my jewellery present for having Zane :)
Kylie was also spoilt with a beautiful set of pearl earrings and a bracelet. We are very lucky ladies!!
They wanted $5 per person for us to go and have a look at the beach but we thought we had spent enough at the restaurant for our entry fee :) After lunch we drove into the camping ground and down to the beach shelters for a look. The beach shelters looked great and overlooked a beautiful swimming beach. Although they would have been hot as no generators allowed. Then we drove to the other side of the Cape below where we had lunch and went for a look down the beach. Once again AMAZING! Big awesome orange rocks, white sand and the ocean. Kids had fun exploring and splashing in the waves. A great day had by all, and an easy dinner of nachos all round for everybody when we got back.
Then it was baileys and Lyndt balls for the adults once the kids were in bed :)
