Went back into Dampier to a tap we had found this morning and Rose did the washing and I washed the van. Then into Karratha, we went to the swimming pool for a shower the water was freezing (no hot water) but it was good and invigorating to have a really good wash. Lunch in the shopping centre and then I had a star crack in our windscreen fixed for $35 from Premier Tyre and Auto. Went for a 3km walk up in the hills above Karratha a really rocky track with lots of prickly spinifex but a good walk. Ellie went way off across the hills chasing kangaroos it must have been so prickly for her, you could just see her bobbing up and down now and again.
Went to the Anglican church tonight to see a film called "a cry from Iran", the story of Iranian Christian martyrs put on by Open Doors Australia an organization that distributes bibles to persecuted churches. It's strange how persecution and revival go together, was a good night.
Have driven 20 or so kms north of Karratha and parked by the side of the road for the night.
