Monkey Mia is all about the dolphins but the Emus here are bigger scavangers than the seagulls. Sat inside the tent twice to eat.
I was up and ready to see the dolphins at the interaction for 7The dolphins came in and didn't really stay long ere heading off again. So went back and had breakfast. By 8.45 though they were back and ready for an interaction with some people but weren't interested in any fish. Prefer what they could catch than what the rangers had to feed them.
So from 7.45 to 11.30 saw dolphins moving gracefully through the water but rarely moving into the interaction zone. two sisters were have quite a few sisterly discussions.
While stood in the water up to my knees one dolphin wizzed by and made me take a step back even though she would've still been a metre away at least.
So now the crows are helping themselves to my food. Note to self do not walk away from food.
We then walked along the jetty and were shown by one of the catamaran tour guides where a cod had attached its self to a jetty pilon to get away from the dolphins.
The landscape here is beautiful.
Worst problem is a group of young tourist who are loud and drunk already at 1.30pm. Hopefully they will pass out soon. Then silence will prevale. Sad to say its the girls who are the worst.
The dolphis are worth the long trip on a boring as road. More tommorow before we leave.
