So today we headed along the RIo Tinto access road to get to Karratha. Our intention was to go as far as Millstream national park and stay there for 2 nights. While we were on the private access road we probabl would've gone with this ntention. But as soon as we hit the normal dirt road and the corrugation started again not as bad as he day before I went no lets go into Karratha for 2 extra nights and do more around there. We did make a 20 kilometre detour into Millstream national park to see Python Pool as it had been recommeded to us. So glad we did as that was beautiful even the drive into it. So many healthy Sturt Pea plants, plus other wild flowers.
We reached Karratha and found it again to be a town in the middle of nowhere. It again is on flat land. Dampier is only 20 kilometres away but you have no idea the sea is that close. Housing is very similar to Elizabeth and the modernising of the cit centre reminds us of Mawsons lake.
