The kids slept through until 730 am and so had had a good twelve hours sleep. Nick and I slept really well too as its so peaceful here compared to the side of the highway!! We had a very slow start to the day and by mid morning the kids had gone round and talked to most people staying here!! We then began a massive cleaning day with Nick and the kids cleaning the car inside and out and I washed all the caravan curtains and windows - anything to try and get rid of the red dust everywhere!! After lunch we drove into Charters Towers and explored the town before heading to Woolworths to stock up the fridge and pantry. By the time we got back to the van it was quite late so we had a quick walk down by the river and then had a bbq for dinner. Around 6 pm here everyone gathers around a large campfire and listens to a couple of people sing. The kids were happy playing near the river so Nick and I listened to the music from our campsite while cooking dinner - it was great. We all another earlish night, with Nick fast asleep before the kids!
