Sunday 13th September - Bag pickup and Airport

It was getting close to 12.00 and we had to be back at the apartment at 1.30pm for our bags. We weren't that far away considering the number of miles that we had walked.
We were heading for the Trevi Fountain and in a side street we sat at some high stools and a table on the sidewalk and had a pizza and a beer.

We walked past the Trevi and caught the Metro back to our apartment where we had arranged to meet the owner of our apartment at 1.30pm to pick up our cases. We had also arranged for a transfer to the airport and this was timed for 1.40pm.

The apartment owner was 15 minutes late and the driver was on time and spoke hardly any English but we managed to get him to wait. All's well once we were on board and headed for the airport and the driver made up the 10 minutes easily and we got to Terminal 2 in plenty of time.

We checked in to the Easyjet desk and got rid of our underweight bags and went and had a beer because our flight was delayed by 35-40 minutes.
We filled in the time by doing the Blog and Facebook and stuff and eventually decided to progress through immigration.
This time when I beeped going through the screen point I was told to take off my sandals and go back through. No beep this time.
