Thursday 10th September - Post Shop
We had decided to get rid of the winter clothes that we had worn on the plane and in England as our bags were too heavy so we set off for to look for a Post Office.
Well we found one and here was a ticket machine so we pressed one of the Italian phrases and hot a ticket E62 and then not being sure I pressed another and got X34 now feeling certain that we would soon get to the front of the queue.
We should have got an A112 as most of the people being called had A numbers.
Hey we finally got to a counter and said "Do you speak English"? "No" was the reply, but we managed to convey that we had a heap of stuff to send back to NZ and she turned around and went to a cupboard and got a few papers for us and sent us on our way.
Just passed the corner we saw a courier sign and went in and enquired and the young chap couldn't have been more helpful. They had cartons of every shape and size and after negotiating with him we headed back to the B&B and threw all of the stuff we didn't need any more into one of our big suitcases and marched back to the courier office.
11.4kgs later we had packed the box with our stuff and paid the €140 to get it to NZ. Very Expensive!
