Friday 11th September - Rome Hop on Bus

We went down and had a funny breakfast of croissant and coffee and orange juice.
We had decided to get a Hop on Hop off Bus today as last time in Rome we didn't get to see that much. We haven't seen an Information Centre and really had no idea where the buses went from. Jannie took a brochure from a hawker yesterday and we saw that the nearest bus stop to our B&B was at Railway Station Termini.

We started walking towards the station over cobbled and broken down footpaths. In places the footpath has great chunks out of the surface and we have seen great holes that have got plastic bottles shoved down them??
We were approached by an African chap who had a brochure of the Ho on Bus in his hand near where we had coffee yesterday. He said he would take us!!
Well he walked off ahead of us and walked and walked and we had given up all hope of ever getting tickets until this doorway appeared with a Hop on sign.

We bought our tickets and the chap showed us where the bus went from.
We got there and queued up with the crowd. We didn't get on the first bus but were first in line for the next one.

Our first Hop off was the Colosseum.
