In view of the weather forecast we decided to do nothing much today and just chill out. It was an overcast day with showers blasting down every now and again. We listened to music, our favourite pastime and just talked and laughed. By the afternoon the wind was really picking up again and gusting across the caravan park We saw an online weather warning that had been issued for the Perth Area. It warned of dangerous winds in excess of 125 kilometres per hour that could cause significant damage to property. It went on to say that the dangerous winds would develop from 8pm with the windiest conditions between 11pm and 5am. It further said that the front was expected to produce dangerous weather that is only seen once every 3 to 4 years in the southwest of WA! Crikey! By evening the wind blowing in huge violent gusts and causing the camper van to rock and sway. We could hear the wind as it whirred and screeched around us. We held on tight and had a very noisy night with the wind and rain battering us relentlessly till morning.
