Tomorrow it will be my first month in Uganda! Cannot believe it, it's gone so fast :D
We started school during Term 3, which is the last term of the year. So we've just be thrown in at the deep end, just doing lessons until the term is over. Not really enjoying it unfortunatly. It's just when I teach I want to be able to walk away from my lesson satisfied, knowing my children have really learnt that lesson but it's not the case. We get 2 months break over Christmas and then Term 1 starts at the end of January. SO next year everyone would have moved up a class and then we'll be given a new timetable, hopefully alot more busier. I'm loving living in Bulenga but school teaching is poor at the moment.
Still very tired, getting used to the Ugandan norms. Ugandan people usually have their dinner around 10pm and are in bed by 11-12pm and then to wake up for school at 4-5am! It's crazy. We eat at 7, go to bed at 9 and are up at 7:30, shattered. Don't know how they do it :)
Wen't on a Boda for the first time last weekend. Boda's are just motorbikes that you go on the back and hold on tight :) The driver was looking at me in his rear mirror the whole time, because I just laughed the whole way :)
Independence Day on the 9th. No school, so Vic and me are heading into Kampala, on our own for the first time (scary) and we are going to get a pizza!!! Yummm :)
Lots of Ugandan Love x x x
