We covered Animal Kingdom today! With an early start and bitter cold morning, it started with a sprint to the popular ride of Flight of Passage located in Pandora, we managed to get on to the ride with only a small wait of one hour. What is Pandora, you ask? Well it is the world of the Na'vi people and yes it is from the movie Avatar! For you geeks out there, no it is not the Avatar of the 4 nations! It is the movie with the blue people! It is an amazing place and what they have done with it, is amazing. You can see the small details have been thought of. Worth to visit!
Animal Kingdom is 6 different places. It also includes animals, so it is partly a zoo of selected animals. Dinoland is a great place to teach the kids all about dinosaurs but some adults can learn a few new facts. It is also a ride which is pretty cool to do. The amatronics are well done. Asia is where you will find the Mount Everest ride. A roller coaster that the boys love which is crazy. The setup they have of a Nepal town is so well done and really impressive. You continue on to Africa where they have an open plain zoo that you can visit through a bus ride. The drivers are very knowledgeable and are great at providing commentaries. It is also a great way to see animals up close. The oasis is where the entrance of the park is it a nice area which allows the theme of the park to be presented to the public.
Discovery Island is the central part of the park and where the tree of life is. It is all about animal conservation and showing all different types of unusual animals, and yes even the kangooroo.
We continued on to Epcot where we had fun on the ride Spaceship Earth which is a time travel through to the begining of times of how we have developed, a great and easy ride. Dinner was an experience in Mexico from the World Showcase.
Came home early as we can have a super early morning start, but that will be tomorrow's tale!
