So for our first rest day we visited Ripley's Believe it or Not!

As you would expect, the place is full of oddities to say the least. The museum has lots of fun exhibits for the kids. Here are some of our highlights.

• The worlds fattest man.
• Skull made from human flesh.
• A shrunken head.
• Portraits made from random materials such as toothpaste, keyboard keys and tea leaves.
• Novelty coffins ... yes 'novelty'!
• The dark ... torture sections. This can pose some challenges explaining these exhibits to children.
• The world's biggest man.
• Part of the Berlin Wall.

Ripley's is a great idea for a quiet or rainy day. It takes 2 to 3 hours to do it at a slow pace. Lots of activities and quizzes for kids. Well worth a look as long as you dont take it too seriously!
