Didier Moutia's Travels
EPIC and AWESOME are the words the kids used to describe today! We enjoyed great weather and low numbers of people in the park. The kids got to ride everything multiple times.
Legoland is truly a great park. We were pleasantly surprised, we have never visited the park before and found it to exceed our expectations.
We started the day in Miniland. These mini buildings took over 2 years to make and were made around the world and shipped to Florida. We spent an hour here alone! The miniatures include famous cities but also Star Wars sets as well. Throughout the park you see lots of lego structures not just here.
The Land of Adventure has a great roller coaster called the "Coastersaurus". The kids loved this old wooden coaster so much that they rode it 5 times. The Safari Trek was also excellent. It is not really a ride, but the effort put into making the animals out of lego and simulating their natural habitat makes it a real winner.
Olivier loved the Beetle Bounce, a small drop ride and all the kids enjoyed the Lost Kingdom Adventure. Lost Kingdom is a shooting adventure and you compete against each other by shooting as many targets as the ride takes you through different lego sets.
Lego City was a huge hit. The kids were excited to get their Ford Driving School license. The Flying School was also pretty cool. However this is really another roller coaster. The Rescue Academy was awesome. Philippe and I competed against Loic and Olivier. We first had to respond in the fire truck (pumping to move), put out the fire and then return to station. A lot of work but major fun! For the record Olivier and Loic cheated!

Lego Technic had a Project X ride, a small roller coaster which the kids took 3 times. The winner for dad was the Aquazone ride, the kids rode in circle in their own boat and I got the fun of setting off 'water bombs' in an effort to soak them. Very therapeutic for parents, at least I thought so.
The kids also loved getting their hands dirty at the Imagination Zone. They got to build a robot and build and race cars!
Lego Kingdoms had a good small roller coaster called “The Dragon”. This roller coaster starts in the castle where you go through different lego sets until you end up on the roller coaster proper. The kids also liked the “Joust” but this was a very tame ride.
World of Chima was an absolute blast. Get ready to be absolutely soaked. The Quest for CHI ride has you floating down a water coarse where water is sprayed onto you. The crowd watching can also participate by using guns to try and soak you. So much fun and as per normal the boys went multiple times.
This park is great for all people but especially caters for the 8 to 15 mark. The kids rode everything and struggled to name the attractions they liked most.
What a great day. We are all exhausted but you can’t get the smiles off our faces!
