Didier Moutia's Travels
Well we have started our Disney adventures with the Magic Kingdom Park.
This is our least favourite park, it caters for a younger child and does not have the thrill rides we seek. Still worth a visit however!
We started today like all days at Disney, hitting up the more popular rides. So we did Pirates of the Carribean, Thunder Railroad and the Haunted House. We looked at doing the Seven Dwarfs Train but that ride was crazy busy. The wait was for 90 minutes, not worth it when you consider it is a relatively placid roller coaster.
We spent most of the day in Tomorrowland. The kids love the speedway where they get to drive a fuel powered car, albeit on a track.
Because we spent the majority of the day in Tomorrowland we did get to go on the Monsters Ride, the Buzz Lightyear attraction and the Stitch Ride. These were all great. The Stitch ride was really different to the norm and definitely worth doing.
Space Mountain is one of the oldest roller coasters ever and was an original feature of Disneyland/Disneyworld. Despite its age my kids rated it pretty highly compared to other roller coasters.
We watch the daily Disney Parade towards the end of the day. We are not big on parades but it is still impressive and you can see a lot of work and expense has gone into the floats.
The only thing we did not like was the fast pass system which is new to Disney. You can only nominate 3 attractions you can use a fast pass for. You have to choose a time which is usually in 1 hour blocks. You can only fast pass per attraction once. The fast pass does not compare to what Universal provide. More tips about Fast Passes on our last post!
