What an epic day!!
We did something different this trip. In our past two trips we planned our itinerary which required a lot of research and trial by error. This trip we enlisted the help of a Disneyworld expert planner. It was a new experience for us, letting someone else decide (after consultation) what our itinerary would be. And can I say we are so pleased with the planning. It was sooooo good to not worry about what we did when, we simply followed the plan and it was stress free.
We started the day by entering Adventureland. Unfortunately one of our favourite rides, Pirates of the Carribean was playing up ... we will hit that up later this trip. We went on to the Haunted Mansion another Moutia family favourite. Soon we found ourselves ahead of schedule at Space Mountain and got two rides in before the ride suffered a technical issue. The plan had us moving easily between attractions maximising our fast passes and before we knew it we completed the Buzz Light year attraction. Now it was time for lunch!
Normally lunch is a simple affair for us, we find some take away food and are happy with that. What a treat it is to walk up to a restaurant and have a booking. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Plaza Restaurant, we took our time and enjoyed the ambiance.
Soon it was time for our next fast pass, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As we arrived (just before our Fast pass time) the ride suffered a technical difficulty. However we used this to our advantage. As soon as the ride was operational again we raced onto it and the followed up with our fast pass ... so two rides with no fuss.
Now another thing we are doing this trip is spending the morning at one park and then hopping over to another in the afternoon. In the past we stayed at one park from open to close.
So we arrived at Hollywood Studios and headed straight for Galaxy's Edge. What a place ... photos do not do this place justice. To think the backlot tour used to occupy this space! We were simply blown away.
We had Italian for dinner and again enjoyed a relaxed dining experience. Afterwards the boys built their lightsabres. This was very much an experience and it was great to see the boys so excited ... they had smiles like you see on little kids and we adults got a buzz watching them.
Now for some sleep and we head over to Pandora tomorrow!
