A welcome rest day in Jaca. Not much to do here but that probably wasn't a bad thing. Was going to have aloof round the old fortress but it doesn't open on Mondays. Not much open again as off season but a beautiful day with clear blue sky. Had a lovely lunch with Ulla. White tablecloth, 4 courses, bottle of wine, all for 15 Euros : $20. Trying to compare note about the next day and it seems Ulla is going further South than me but her accommodation options are limited which is probably why my travel company send me further North, although it is a little longer. It appears that she was unable to get accommodation on further investigation so we have managed to book her in the same places as me for the next 2 nights. So Ai have walking companion for 2 or 3 days. We had tapas, beer and wine for dinner after the big lunch which came to a grand total of 7.70 Euros: $12 for the two of us. Welcome to Spain, it is so cheap. A nice rest day before the final onslaught to finish in Puente La Reina in 5 days time.
