Day 25- September 4- 37miles
Olema campground to San Francisco
Climbed out of valley to the Cross Marin Trail through Samuel P. Taylor State Park, it was a lovely trail along woodlands even paved. Back into civilization- first major urban center on Pacific Coast Bike Route. First stop was Fairfax for break and coffee. Then onto the marked bike route through beautiful neighborhoods with quiet streets and fun looking Larkspur, Marin City, and touristy Sausalito onto the Golden Gate Bridge full of walkers, bikers, noise and wind, even fog!! So busy- so stressful! Glad when we got to other side. Followed trail along waterfront to Fisherman's Wharf Hostel at Fort Mason overlooking bay. After locking away bikes and storing our stuff in room, off exploring waterfront walk way to Pier 39- OMG- so many tourist places and people. After so many days with small communities to overload on people!!!! Had light dinner, then back to Hostel and catch up on blog and emails. Good day.
