Day 27- Thursday, Sept. 6- 54miles
Happy Birthday to my beautiful granddaughter, Kassandra-7
Best wishes to Jeannine, have a wonderful day.
Fort Mason, SF to Pigeon Point Lighthouse, hwy#1. Woke to NO FOG and blue sky. (think it had something to do with the photo of the rainbow last night). The ACA map was great getting us out of the city, we saw the west side. At Thorton Beach saw so many surfers. Climbed into Daly City- so funny to see row after row of little box houses- "little houses, little houses, all made out of ticky tacky, and they all look the same"
Coffee break near Pacifica then through Montara, El Granada, Miramar and onto Half Moon Bay for groceries. From there passed State Beach after State Beach, my favorite was Bean Hollow State Beach. Finally to Pigeon Point Lighthouse. And a private room at Hostel....no more listening to snorers!! Just came in from
Watching two whales off the lighthouse. Also so many birds, but the pelicans were awesome either soaring with the wind or just drying their wings on the rocks. There are several seal families sitting on the rocks in front of lighthouse. Even the sunset was perfect.
