Day 30- September 9- Sunday
"If you are not having fun- then you're in the wrong gear"- HELP-they don't make
them that low!!!!! 3 mountains and lots of ups and downs! Noon, we had just rode 32 miles. The views were incredible, the sky was blue, and not too
much traffic but 4771 feet ascents and 4896 feet of descents - made for a challenging, tough day. At "Ragged Point Inn & Resort", stopped for food/drink/rest. What a lovely oasis in the hills. Talked with an old biker who gave us his cell and phone numbers incase of emergency....Kind.
Out of the mountains into the flats and we flew with great tail winds, made the last 15 miles doable. Resting in a very reasonable Courtesy Inn on the coast, we can see the kite surfers and passed
many coves with lots of seals, even saw a deer coming out of camp this morning.
All day we had the scent of wild anise, which grows all along the coast.
