Day15 - 49.7miles- fog and cold Humbug Mtn. State Park to Brookings. Too many climbs. After leaving camp There was one climb after another- with spectacular views - they both never ended. Went over Oregon's highest bridge, (345ft.) Wow! Could not warm up, so opted for a Motel in Brookings. Just catching up on blog, pictures and email. Then off to bike shop and dinner.

Day 14- 61.7 miles Happy Birthday Shan and Penny! North Bend to humbug State Park. A fast day with sun and tail winds...Amazing views too! Out of town with lots of traffic to great highway with wide shoulders. Our first stop for food....BANDON...and a beach loop to find my most favorite spot on the Oregon Coast....WOW!! Day 12- 14 miles- rest day in North Bend and Coos Bay. August 22. Early ride to Walmart and picked up cell phone to call home. Will take 2 days to activate to call Canada! Then off exploring and seeing ports of this small logging and sea port area. Also stop at bike shop to get new pedals - mine broke! Checked bike and said all well. Back at Hotel just relaxing and catching up on pictures and email.

Day 12 August 22 -43miles -sun Jessie Honeyman St. Pk. To North Bend/Coos Bay- Quality Inn Cold in camp this morning packing up. But warmed up quickly riding. Logging country, lakes, and mountainous DUNES! Pretty country, again ups and downs. In Reedsport stopped at local cafe and had great 2 nd breakfast with good people. Fast ride to another long bridge into North Bend. Stopped at visitor center and map. Followed bike route and found Quality Inn. Got room but...

Day 11- 43.7miles- August 21- fog, sun,wind "Breathe deeply and feel the thrill every moment of the journey", thanks, Marilyn! South Beach to Jessie H. Honeyman State Park.
