Being a Tourist in San Diego- beautiful City- Warm all the time! Massive Harbor. With Military, cruise ships, Ferries and commercial and private crafts filling the harbor and are always moving. Plus, kayaks, paddle boards.
Just back from our Trolley tour, a good way to see the city without driving, walking or paying for parking and maps! Old town San Diego was nice, hot though, had lunch there. This is where San Diego started. It was part of Spain at one time. Drove through Balboa Park, you would not recognize it, besides the zoo, it has numerous museums, 15 actually and gardens....theatre and trails....left this for another time! Rather than bike and ferry we drove over the Coronado Bridge....high....also they move the centre blocks twice day to accommodate traffic patterns. Last was Seaport Village....years ago we walked through it while waiting for our cruise ship.....part of the Village I remember, but not all the high rises and convention centre, etc.....massive growth!
Coronado Island is large, no house can be built the same. Beautiful golf course and lovely shopping district, also wonderful harbor village too, lots of bike and walking trails. We only biked a small part of it going to the Silver Strand and border. Would be a great vacation spot, with variety if Hotels with all amenities. We also saw Little Italy, Horton Center (a massive 5 level shopping mall), downtown. Gaslight district is also downtown, like our Gastown!
Even the Airport is expanding.....has 75 departure gates!!
Good day. Being a tourist is okay, but expensive!! I would rather be BIKING!!!
