What an awesome day!! We went for a drive up to Quondong point about an hours drive North of Broome. We got up there nice and early so we went for a drive along the coast up until around Coulomb Point. Spent the whole morning stopping and looking at all the awesome little beaches and beautiful cliff tops. So many great spots to camp and was surprised there wasn't that many camping considering its school holidays. Then we drove back to Quondong point to our first stop and pulled out the car awnings and set up for lunch. Yummy fresh chicken rolls for lunch.
Then it was down to the beach for a swim. Kylie stayed up at the cars in the shade to give Archie a rest. Gaz had set the shade tent up on the beach so Zane and I chilled in there for a bit which was nice. Gaz was down the beach making sandcastles with Seanie. And Ben was off with Big Shaun, Caleb and Indi exploring around all the rocks for all the little sea creatures. The boys found a little crab about the size of the palm of your hand which they were very excited about.
The tide started to go out and once again we had some awesome rock pools to sit in and were great for Zane to splash around in. Was so nice to basically have your own private beach again.
Broome people are very lucky to have great camping spots within an hours drive plus they have Barn Hill to the south!
It was fresh fish sandwiches for tea which went down a treat. Played some cards and had a few quiet ones.
