Monday i was up early and headed for the airport. the good thing about the hostel in perth was that the kitchen opened at 530am for the free breaky so i stocked up on that to put me on!! I checked in at the airport, bort a sarny and some crisps and water for the flight and then waited. i was seated by one of the emergency exits which was good as i got extra leg room and there was a spare seat next to me so it wasnt cramped at all!! being the think brit that i am, the what i thort 7 hour flight turned out to be 4, and the land time was the time difference one in sydney!! durrr. anyway, i got myself to the hostel, checked in and then went to grab some tea before heading to bed.

tuesday i got up and went to meet the manager. she wasnt there when i got in last night as it was after 5pm. i paid what was owed and then went off. i had asked for a 4bed room as i thort it may be eaier to meet people but i was put in a 14 bed room. when i asked her she said i would move rooms on wed as thats when the next available bed was. (as i turns i out met more people in the bigger room as the ones in the 4 bed are all french with little english!) i spent the rest of the day chilling until half 2 when i went over to see gilly and joshua. we had a couple hours playing before we walked to the shops and then i went back to the hostel. i made some tea then and met a few people before heading to bed.

Wednesday i got up and then went to the supermarket to get a load of food shopping. its about a 20min walk over the bridge to birkenhead which isnt too bad. after id done my shop i got to the front door and it was lashing it down. i waited 20mins but it didnt ease up so i went and bought a mac-in-a-cac and walked back. (turns out to be the best purchase so far as since i landed its barely stopped raing-worst start to a summer since 1960!) i then went to a few more shops to get some bit i had forgotten before making myself a curry. i then chilled in the tv room with some people i met and had a good chat.

Thursday i was up early to meet gilly at the bus stop at 9 to go into town. we went to meet here friend helen and her daughter abi for a coffee. (helen has a nephew over from england who i was meant to meet last time i was here but ran out of time) during the coffee it became aparent that gilly rich and joshua were going for a bbq on sunday and so helen invited me which was nice. after we hadd coffee ggilly went into her work to see her boss and i looked around some of the shops in the city. We then went back to gillys to have some lunch before relaxing infornt if the tele (i had a quick nap while joshua did actually!) i then put some of my new aquired skills to the test and unblocked the sink drain - i only charged $50 as it was family but i think gilly thort i was joking!?! we then went to the post office to pick up a parcel, 12 bottles of wine (how can u tell shes a robinson...) before heading back to the hostel. i had a quick shower and a chat with some of the lads before going back to gillys. rich was going on a works night out so i went round to tea. we had a nice bit of food followed by watching a film so i suppose i could wipe the $50 debt!!

Friday, today ive had a lazy morning. it seems like thats all im writting at the moment but all of my roommates are working and so from 6am they start getting up and making noise! im going to go and get a few drinks and have a chilled evening with some of the guys tonight...
