So today was Tuesday. I was up at 8ish so skyped lydia which was nice. I then bummed about for a little bit watching tv when it dawned on me that i was in Australia, the weather was nice and i was sat indoors!! So i grabbed my ipod, put on my factor 30 and headed up to the rooftop in just my shorts. I was there broning up for about 5mins when a couple of lasses from the hostel came up and joined in, then a few more until there was about a dozen of us just chillin. That was nice as we all had a good chat. Its funny as the people who i classed as friends out here dont actually know anything about each other!! The weather was really hot when the sun was out but every now and then the clouds would move in and it would go abit chilly. I say abit chilly but im sat on a roof in just my shorts in april, not like i would normally be at home! (i know you've just had a heat wave) I then got a late lunch with one of the boys and tidied my room!! Then it was time for my first shift at the bar! I found out tonight that the other 'chef' had been given less hours now as i had started and was better qualified. Watch this space for a black eye! Work was good, just me and the head chef. I think ill be doing abit of salad work to start but then when i get the hang of that (which i already have to be honest) ill go over to the hot side. Thats good as ill be doing more and also getting better money! We did about 55 tonight and apparently it was the busiest tuesday so far!! Piece of p*ss. So my hours are off Sunday and Monday and then 5-11 tues - sat for now. The head cheff, Larry, said he will help me find a breakfast or luch job aswell if i want to earn more money so thats pretty cool! i also found out its bank holiday next weekend ... and i get it off!! First time for me apart from when i burnt myself so i imagine it will be a drinking occassion! So all in all it was a good day.
