Friday night we grabbed some tea, chilled out and then hit the hay.
Saturday we got up and went to the britanic gardens as it was a nice day. I was ready for making the most off the sun and im sure chris was too!! We walkied all thru them and along the water front before Sitting down for a while to take in the view. From there we walkied back along the water front to circular quay and had some fish and chips. We got a duo box and it was brill. There was battered fish, prawn cuttlets, calimari rings and scallops with chips and sauces. From there chris enjoyed having his photo taken with the aborigany playin the digery dooo and then on to draling harbour to get our tickets for the blue mountains the next day. Once we had them we walked on back and stopped off at the art gallery as this was something chris wanted to do. I said i was if it didnt cost much as im not that into art. We got there and it was free so i thort cracking lets go...10mins in i can see why it was free!! Im joking, it was ok, very big ad lots of different art to see but i think that chris enjoyed it much more than i did!! We then braved the walk home in the freezing cold were chris used the internet for a while beofore we put a wash on and made some tea! We ate chilled out then went to bed ready for an early start the next day!
Sunday we were up very early and were at the harbour bridge by half6ish to watch the sun rise. It was a struggle to get up but was well worth it!! We then grabbed a bacon and egg butty with coffee (which was awesome!) and got picked up at 720 to got the the mountains and i spent most of the bus journeys asleep!!!! We got to the mountains at about 10ish and had an hour to look around, get some pics and a coffee n cake before heading off to the jenolan caves. We spent another hour or so travelling to get there and then had some lunch once there. At 2pm we went off on our guided tour around the caves. We did the Jacob cave and it was good fun. We had a few odd bods in our group, mainly an american guy who spoke a little weired but this gave me and chris a great laugh later in th day! After 1hour30mins and over 900 steps we had finished our tour in time to get a drink and head back home!! We got back to darling harbour at half7ish and then chris and i decided to have a few beers. As im missing chris' 30th this year we decided that we would have a few drinks and a meal for it instead. So we went to 'docks' and as the rugby was on beer was $3!! So we watched that and had some beer before heading to the steak house for a meal. We got there and were told it were closing so we went back and ate at the waterfront. Best meal ive had in ages. I had a steak and chris had kangaroo and we agreed it was fab!! We then had some more beers watching the cricket before heading to kings cross for a night cap and going to bed!
Monday morning i was supposed to have my appointment for my ear but i slept thru my alarm and my phone was on silent so missed their calls!! I spoke to them and they said it was fine to come in the next day at 10! few! Chris got his stuff together and put it in my room before we went to the tv room were i slept and chris used the internet. I then got up and saw chris off which was sad but we have had a great week!! I had mentioned in the week about a hoody i had seen and he went off and bought it for me as a present to say thanks for the week!! There was no need but i said thanks and havent taken it off yet!! (its a super dry one by the way)
