Another pretty miserable day so after we got up and showered in Wellington we hit the road for a couple hours and headed up to Palmerston North, we stopped off in a Pak n' Save and topped up the grocery shelves and also bought a few ingredients to make cookies later! We booked a few more activities in the north island and then parked up near the town centre where we went for a walk around, Katie and I played a giant chess game where I came out devastatingly on top! We then checked out a few shops before heading to the plaza where the girls went to girl shops and I went to a few guy shops, we then got a text from Helen and Nick (family friends of Sarah) saying we can head over whenever so we went back to Albert and drove to there house where we met Nicks dad and the girls and the toddler, shortly after Nick and Helen got home an we got talking, they were both super nice and very hospitable, they gave me a few beers and then we had chicken wraps for dinner which were amazing! We chatted into the night about tons and tons and we had a few games of riddles and one by one re family turned in and me and the girls headed over to the flat behind the house where they put us up for the night and settled into bed, I played a bit of Pokemon whilst listening to music to block out an exceptionally loud snoring Katie and when my eyes started to droop I dozed off in a nice bed to myself for the first time in a while!
