Woke up after a mighty lie in to recover from the night before, we all felt pretty refreshed and after fixing breakfast and packing up shop and drove from Wanaka to the west coast and made our way up with a few stops on the way, after a couple hours driving we pulled into a car park near Franz Josef and did a short lake walk which took about 45 minutes and then went to a NZ shop where I bought a brand new spanking deck of cards! In the evening we headed back to the campsite and after dinner decided to get a fairly early night as we had another pretty early start the following day!
