Woke up feeling awesome after an amazing nights sleep and last nights jacuzzi, chilled out in bed before getting up and having a bite to eat (compliments of Bevan again) and then having a decent shower! I packed up my gear mid morning and was about to start hitching when Christi said someone she knew up north was driving pretty much to Auckland that morning, so she gave him a text and he said e was literally passing the farm and could pick me up, the girls drove me to the end of the farm and we waited about 15 mins for Clyde to turn up, he was a decent kiwi guy in a kick ass truck, we got chatting for a few hours and he was a sound bloke, he gave me my first Feijoa (probably spelt wrong) which is a super tasty NZ fruit and also bought me an ice cream at a little cafe! After a couple hour driving he dropped me off about a 20 min drive from Auckland, I hopped across the and used the gents in Macca's, I then started hitching again and it took about 15 seconds for a guy in a 1964 Caddy with the number plate OH YEAH to pick me up, he was an awesome old boy and his car was super sick! We did a quick stop off so he could pick something up and he drove me all the way into Auckland and dropped me off by sky tower, which was perfect! I said bye and thanks the guy (and the car) then walked towards the cinema where I met Matt and we took a stroll up to his flat where I chilled out a bit after a day of travel. I was talking with Andy as well and I booked us each Reginald D. Hunter tickets, Matt and I then popped to the library where Matt did a few things and I printed the tickets off. We then headed back to the flat and cooked dinner as Maxine was on her way home from work and then just had a bummed out evening of eating and watching tv (mainly Simpsons and himym) I was drained from a long day on the road and just ended up crashing out on my new couch which wasn't as bad as Max and Matt thought it would be!
