Was up bright and early to cook brekkie and pack up all my gear, we then went outside and met Andreas, packed up our stuff and then hit the road, we went to a few charity shops looking for camping gear and sleeping bags, I managed to get a sleeping bag (with a rip in) for $10! And bought some warm clothes for dirt cheap too! We then went to Warehouse where Jed got a sleeping bag and I got a mini sewing Kit to fix up my sleeping bag, after all that was done we hit the highway and headed to Akaroa, it was all smooth sailing for the first hour with some amazing sites but then when we hit the hills the temp started rising... We pulled over a few times and filled up the coolant with water and we managed to make it to Akaroa where we went straight to a mechanic, he said the radiator needed to be cleaned out and we had to bring the car back tomorrow, so we cruised down to the free caravan camper site and moved a few things around so we could sleep better later, we played a few games of Patong and I sat down and fixed my sleeping bag, textiles class finally came in handy!! We then shot across to the BBQ and cooked up some dinner and after a quick clean up and a little skate it was getting late so we packed up our gear and after a bit of shuffling we were all settled down for the night and managed to drift off, free nights accommodation! Winning!
